There are a couple of things I don't like about the matlab4 sheet.
o It lists almost all standard functions in matlab4 as keywords.
Since there's 564 of them it's hard to keep up to date with more
recent versions of matlab. (My matlab 5.3 installation has
8456 functions and 11673 for version 6.1)
I think it's better to limit the keywords to for, while, end etc.
o It doesn't recognize strings and therefore all keywords in
strings will be highlighted which is very ugly.
The most difficult part when I wrote the matlab sheet was to
distinguish string delimiters from the transpose operator
since it's the same symbol (').
o It requires a space after the comment character (%) and that's
a problem since it is very common to have the first comment line
whitout a leading space in matlab-files.
That's what I can remember. (It was a couple of years since I wrote
the style sheet)
