Hi guys!
You who have a copy of windows, please check out
http://www.lifl.fr/~courbot/wastesedge-0.3.3.exe !
Wowee! It works, and really fine aswell!
I'm all for a windows README file, as a lot of stuff like Installing or
running wastesedge will be different or not needed.
Also, could we add a shortcut to wastesedge, maybe even supplied with the
proper icon, in the directory that we gets installed in aswell? Otherwise
somebody unchecking 'desktop-' and 'startmenu icon' during the installation
might be lost cuz he doesn't know that he must run 'adonthell wastesedge'
from the command prompt (another thing to add to the readme) - remember,
some people might not even know how to do that.
Another issue for the readme would be to explain editing the .ini file.
Or: (I know you'll hate me for this) We make the options menu in the game
actually available for display options such as fullscreen...
And would it be possible to have the standard 'view readme file' checkbox
to the end of the installer? That might help some people.
I just think since we're now expanding to windows we need to consider the
standard windows user and his knowledge (It helps if you imagine your
parents wanting to install adonthell ;).
If you guys can't be bothered I could write that readme, but not until
tomorrow...
