Looks like it can't find any of the autotools (autoconf, automake,
aclocal). Did you install a new distro and forgot these? Or was your
PATH set incorrectly?

Without those, it cannot create the configure script. Maybe should add
some error checking to autogen.sh, so that it doesn't behave as if
everything was successful, when it clearly was not.
