[aspell-devel] Required components for new languages?

Greetings,

I've been eyeing Aspell as a platform for an Amharic
spell checker.  Amharic uses Ethiopic script which in
turn requires UTF-8 support.  I've developed a Metaphone
algorithm for Amharic, and am getting a word list together,
what other components would be required?
