Is /usr/local/lib in your /etc/ld.so.conf file?
Try to call ldconfig after checking /etc/ld.so.conf and possibly 
adding /usr/local/lib to it.
Who is allowd to read and chang to /usr/local lib who is allowed to read and 
execute the libaspell.so* ?
