Just to make this sure I tested both settings
mm-text-html-renderer 'w3m
and
mm-text-html-renderer 'mm-text-html-renderer
They behave slightly different in formating the text, moreover the first
is much better in displaying gmail html mail which contains embedded
png, such as math formulas.
