most of the times since the user rarely known just _what_ may
constitute a single math atom.
I agree.
You mean, autoinsertion of braces so that the user will be more
tempted to use them?
Yes. People maybe don't want to type {} if not necessary. If a pair of {}
are already inserted and the cursor inside them, then users just need to
keep typing the super/sub-script as ususal, and use C-f or other ways to
jump out and keep typing the other parts.
For testing, maybe it is a good idea to realize it as a turn-on/off option.
