Hello,I don't know which version of Auctex and Xemacs are installed on the computer. Is there a command line or something to check this out?

I'm not sure which features are required for AUCTeX/preview-latex. MULE? Image formats? For compiling, MULE would likely be required for the Japanese style support. Anyway, could you check whether the functions people have complained about are actually defined in your version of XEmacs 21.5?,---- | ELISP> emacs-version | "21.5 (beta21) \"corn\" (+CVS-20050720) XEmacs Lucid" | ELISP> (fboundp 'display-pixel-width) | t | ELISP> (fboundp 'previous-single-char-property-change) | t `---- Christophe, you wrote that preview works fine on your laptop (cygwin+xemacs+auctex). Did you use the same AUCTeX XEmacs package as on the Fedora machine? Which XEmacs version is it? Bye, Reiner.
