Hi again, thank you very much for the great support!
After re-installing the actual auctex version from

http://theotp1.physik.uni-ulm.de/~ste/comp/emacs/auctex/snapshots/ftp/auctex-current.tar.gz

everything works perfectly also with GS 9.01 and i see nice previews ;-)
(that´s really cool).

Another question though:
I got the recent cvs version over the link above, because i did not manage
it to checkout the files via SVN.

I used the syntax as proposed on the website
http://savannah.gnu.org/cvs/?group=auctex

which suggests

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:address@hidden:/sources/auctex co
<modulename>

i tried "auctex" for the module name and also different parameters for the
revision id, but with no luck.

Can someone please post a single (complete) line that is correct regarding
the syntax?
