This is unfortunate, as it will hide what would have been my next bug
report: The IRIX C++ compiler CC generates a directory named 'ii_files'
(for template instantiation IIRC). I'm not yet sure in which cases it
would be appropriate to remove it.
FWIW, what is the reason for g++ to be broken like this, and how could
it be fixed? I mean, there is interest in getting this to work outside
of the Autoconf test suite as well. ;-)
