Confusing/bogus message in config.log

Hi,

Config.logs generated by an autoconf-2.95e (CVS) generated configure
contain this message:

> This file contains any messages produced by compilers while
> running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake.
> 
> It was created by configure 2.49e, executed with

I don't know what configure 2.49e is supposed to be -- at least, I
have never heared of it :) 

Probably "created by configure generated by autoconf 2.49e" or even
simply using "configure" would be more correct and less confusing.
