Blood, sweat tears... :-)
It wasn't easy, but I finally managed to create a library under FreeBSD
using the gnu autotools.
There were a lot of troubles : autoconf which generated a non running
configure script, error messages while linking,...
Because I didn't find a lot of information about these problems on the
Internet, I have put my workarounds in my Slashdot journal :
