    silent-rules: fix alignment of less verbose output.
    
    * automake.in (define_verbose_var): Define `$silent_var' as
    VAR_ASIS, not VAR_PRETTY, to avoid squashing of multiple
    adjacent spaces.
    * tests/silent.test: Amend test.
