And note that support for INCLUDES has not been re-introduced in the
master branch yet, at the moment of writing; but we plan to definitely
do so before the next major release.

Kudos to anyone who could beat me in writing the actual patch
re-introducing $(INCLUDES) in master (I'll get to it eventually,
but maybe not in the short time).
