[avr-chat] AVR 32-bit status?

Does anyone know when 32-bit AVR32 devices should be available to us regular Joes (i.e., via Digikey, or at least via Ateml sampling)?
Will the GNU toolchain, gdb and avarice require a lot of work to support it?
