I'm looking for info on designing a clock using a GPS synchronisation.I have build clocks in the past, using an AVR & a watch crystal. Its only the GPS aspect that's vague to me.I searched Google, but the info seems too scattered & inconclusive.Has anyone completed/undertaking such a project? Can you share some pointers on this?
"Time-Nuts -- Precise Time and Frequency for Amateurs" http://www.leapsecond.com/time-nuts.htm are the people that take measuring frequency and time to *Absurd* levels of precision. Kind of like why people climb mountains, because they can. :-) Lots of good practical advice as well. The One-Pulse-Per-Second output of the GPS receiver is usually uses to "discipline" some other oscillator. http://www.arrl.org/qex/ QEX Magazine has had articles on doing this in the last year or so. What exactly are you trying to accomplish, as there maybe other options besides GPS?
