Hi Michael,
Thanks for the suggestions..

Sadly no sign off it in the USB list of System Profiler (Mac OS).. plugged in my JTAGICE MKII (real one).. just to check and it shows in the list, but not the dragon.. :(

Anyone got any other suggestions? Or is it as my subject says.. dead...

Thanks,
Regards

Windows - unsure but I'd assume when you install AVRstudio and its drivers it should use those (a funny driver called "Jungo" and looks like a network card in System/Device Managament)

Try usbview, for instance through

Mac OS - have a look in System Profiler -> USB - it should show the device as attached

it doesnt necessarily create an entry in /dev - avarice and avrdude talk to these devices through libusb, a user level library, and not through a device file.

My chinese Kee Electronics JTAGICE MKII clone doesnt do this either, but works fine with avarice and avrdude on Mac OS nevertheless

Hi List,
I got a dragon a few months ago, only now just got time to pull it out of the box.. My problem is that is seems to be not detected by Windows or Mac.. on Windows I get no usb device detected, no driver install or anything, no sounds when it is plugged in or unplugged... When I attach the dragon to the usb port it blinks the led orange (green + red?) for about 1 second, then goes to red..

Is there something terminally wrong with my dragon? Or am I just doing something wrong?

Neil Davey
