I'd like to ask what the minimum hardware configuration is for successful programming of an Atmega32 PDIP chip with Avrdude. I have ordered hardware accordingly. Perhaps this list could kindly be reviewed?

1. Breadboard
2. Atmega32 PDIP
3. 5v power supply
or

An Arduino already configured as a programmer

5. XTAL or resonator of a frequency listed in datasheet
6. If XTAL is used, 22 pf ceramic capacitors
7. LED for a basic blinking light action
8. 330 Ohm and 10K Ohm resistors
9. Possibly a powered USB hub to connect programmer to

Hardware connections as follows:

1. 5v VCC connected to pins 9, 10, 30
2. GND connected to pins 11, 31
3. XTAL or resonator connected to pins 12, 13
4. If XTAL used, 22 pf capacitors connected to XTAL and GND
5. Programmer pins connected to Atmega pins 6, 7, 8, 9, GND

Does the above look correct for programming with AVRDUDE?

Thank you!
