[avr-gcc-list] invalid bfd target

Hi..

I'm attempting to use the Linux version (2001.2.28) of avrgcc. When
using the Makefile supplied with the gcctest files it gets as far as;

"invalid bfd target"

I can run the compile and assemble steps ok, but when trying to link
 it keeps telling me it doesn't know what an atmega103. It does know
what an avrmega103 is, but it doesn't work either, or, more likely, I am
unsure where/how to set this.

Could someone explain this?
