[avr-gcc-list] Can anyone tell me about how to get an AVR programmer working under linux

hi

I'm just about to get started on programming an AVR system and would prefer 
to use my linux IDE rather than having to go and use the AVR environment 
under windows.  Does anyone have a solution for programming the AVR using an 
ISP and the standard ATMEL ISP programmer from a linux box.

Any help would be appreciated.
