This is the announcement of the newest versions of my scripts to build the
avr-gcc, avr-gdb and simulavr.

The scripts should run on any Unix machine. I have tested it only Linux, but I
have added some Solaris specifc parts.

The avr-gcc script is dummy proof and does really all, including the loading of
the sources from the net and the build of the avr-libc.

For those of you which have already loaded a previouse version of the
avr-gcc script:
  I have changed some options see the ChangeLog.
  It is not necessary to update to the newest version. I build now libc with
  the -g option for C files. That't the only real change.

The avr-gdb and simulavr scripts are completely new.
The will also load the sources and patching them.
I expect a newer version in some days, because there is heavy developing in
avr-gdb and simulavr. The current version of simulavr includes all known
changes and patches mentioned on the simulavr-devel list.

Have a look to my hompage and read more details there.

You can find the description and the scripts at:

-> AVR GCC
-> AVR GDB
-> AVR Simulator

I have compiled the libc and the test programs of simulavr with the avr-gcc.
avr-g++ is currently not working. I need to track down why, the old version
worked.

It would be nice if someone can check the new scripts on other Unixes.
I am interrested to hear if it works on Solaris.

Any comments are welcome.

Regards,
  Reinhard
