FYI the STK500 spec has been mostly reverse engineered, see http://www.openh.org/docman/display_doc.php?docid=101&group_id=37
I'm keen to see what the magic number thingie is for, beats me.uisp has support for programming but I believe it's missing fuse/lock bits (except the basic ones) at present.
