Hi Torsten,
Yes, FE will tell you if there was a frame error.
Unfortunately there is no inherent way to force your PC to retransmit
(the "right" data I suppose).
If you have some sort of Ack/Nack protocol going however, you could
simply answer Nack and wait for a retransmit.

if i understand it right, the FE (Frame Error) Bit in the UCSR0A
detects a
"wrong" transmission with the usart interface. If i transfer data over
the
serial line to/from pc, is it possible to handle such errors in an
intelligent way? May it be possible to force e.g. the pc to transfer
the
wrong data again ?
