Hi,

       I evaluated the mega8 as a replacement for
the AT98LS4433, last September.  At the time I
was using the gcc 3.0.3 compiler.  I had to find
a new startup file to get the code to work.  Then
after the evaluation I had to go back to the old
startup file to get the AT98LS4433 working again.

       Now I am using gcc-3.2.1 and it has startup
files for both the Mega8 and the AT98LS4433 but
I have not been able to get interrupts working.

      I have checked all the fuses. checked the
setup of the timers at least 3 times.  If looked at
the ASM file produced and it appears that every
thing is the way it should be.    The binutils and
avr-lib was as suggested on avrfreaks for each
version.

      I've been trying to hold off until gcc 3.3 is
released but that seems to be delayed.
