[avr-gcc-list] ADC with ATMega8

Hey guys, I need some help, I got the adc initalize with free running mode, the 
problem I am currently having is what kind of algorith I should ues for 
analysis the digital data, my application is to count the number of peak in the 
signal to creat a counts.  Can some one show me a easy way of doing it, say a 
slop detection???

Also I have some problem of using the EEPROM read command, I am using the 
AVREdit, it only have previous verision of WINAVR not the latest!!!
