Please don't make unfounded claims.  Advising people to use -O0 is
nonsense, in particular for a RISC-like architecture.

It looks as if Mike has really found a compiler bug (see remainder of
thread), but that doesn't justify it to claim complete brokeness.
Most of the »optimizer bugs« are still located between chair and
keyboard :-), from experience...
