[avr-gcc-list] Placing constants at known locations in eeprom at compile time |

I have a requirement to place constants in the EEPROM of an ATmega323 in known
locations at compile time.
I have looked through the documentation and can place functions via a linker
script, but I have been unable to discover how to place constants in eeprom at
defined locations.
I have probably missed something somewhere, is anyone able to point me in the
right direction?
Incidentally, whilst I am able to place structures in PROGRAM memory I do not
appear to be able to place them in EEPROM. Is this deliberate or a missing
feature/bug?
I am currently using WINAVR20021209 version of the compiler, linker etc.
Thanks
David Breeze.
