That's just way too old, sorry.
You can find snapshots for current versions under
http://savannah.nongnu.org/download/avr-libc/snapshots/
I hope Debian can handle RPMs, otherwise you probably need to roll
your own versions from source (which is not a big deal either unless
you also want to build your own avr-libc docs, which requires a lot
of prerequisite software).
