Sounds very cool. I've already got a JTAG-ICE, but this sounds like a
great tool to have.  I'm not sure what the deal with libusb is, or your
implementation of it, but I just wanted to recommend using the FTDI
USB controller ICs.  They're a brease to use, work on linux/windows/mac
and very cheap.  The drive is already in the linux kernel, so no special
driver is required, and it appears as /dev/ttyUSB0.
