I have tried the =93AtmanAvr=94 IDE + avr-gcc yesterday, it is quite =
nice,
=93project wizard=94 and =93no makefile=94 needed is what the Winavr =
missing
out!!! However I do feel the AtmanAvr is ripping of al the AVR open
source developer, he charge 40 US dollar for registering, and he claim
by registration is the only way you can update the software??? But I
just download the update file and update straight a way???

=20

Hopefully there will be a better IDE for Winavr in the future!!!

Unlikely, if you're not willing to pay for it.

Actually, it's sort of in the works. It just may take longer than you like.

Money is not the problem; if you want it faster, then HELP by VOLUNTEERING.
There is already a plan in place it's a matter of time and programming.

Aside from the PN2 plan, there's at least one other IDE already around
that should fit as well (from a guy from Poland, sorry, his name
escaped me).

I sent them $40 - compensation for their good work to create an decent ID=
E
for GCC. Nothing to do with GCC itself. The AtmanAVR demo is time-limited=
;
you'll need to purchase/register in 30 days as I recall.

For everyone interested in free AVR-GCC IDE -> try this address:

www.avrside.fr.pl

I think it's the IDE Joerg meant. Easy to use & free.
