[avr-gcc-list] Using Konsole (kde) or similar program for RS232 communication on linux

Hello,

I want to connect to an AVR chip using a graphical terminal program 
(like Konsole) on linux.

Which settings are needed, to do that?

Any good web links appreciated.

(And any suggestions for a good terminal program, even though I don't 
think that I
need a special terminal program.)
