Hi Dmitry,
Thanks for doing these experiments.
I find it interesting how much -frename-registers really helps. And it
looks like that this flag could help users' applications right now. I
also found it interesting that the GCC user manual says this about
-frename-registers: "This optimization will most benefit processors with
lots of registers.", which the AVR qualifies for "lots of registers".
