Hello, I found your name on a list, working on the attiny2313 headers. I have a question that I cannot find the answer to, and I have been recompiling gcc all day to try to fix it. My platform is OS X. My precompiled, binary avr-gcc's (i have two) both do not support the tiny2313 in c (they say assembler only). Any suggestions to fix this? Thanks, Jasper Speicher
The support for the tiny2313 is in a patch for binutils, and gcc which can be found in the Patch Manager of avr-libc, as a Closed patch:
<http://savannah.nongnu.org/patch/index.php?func=detailitem&item_id=2923>The reason why the patch was closed is because this patch has been committed to the binutils and gcc projects, but on their mainline. So this support is not yet in any of the releases.
You should only need the patch for binutils, and for gcc, then you should use the latest release of avr-libc (1.2.0 or greater) which should already have the support built in.
HTH Eric
