No, I'd only like to see the following three options (compiler or
linker):

-fwhole-program
-ffunction-sections
--gc-sections

to be announced only once we are reasonably sure they have all been
thoroughly tested, in any respect (interrupt handlers, .initN
sections, C++ constructors/destructores come to mind), and then only
if they get documented in the section "Using the GNU tools".

Of course, I don't mind *fixing* them gradually before that time.
