Hmmm. If you ever get a chance, maybe you could try this trick
with Kai Kaminski's AxiomUI code? :) It's written entirely in
Lisp (except for the Javascript part on the web browser), uses
some standard common lisp packages and runs on Clisp in Linux.
But on our first (and only) attempt neither Kai nor I were able
to get it to run on Windows.
