Details:

In BE 3.2.38:
http://www.nongnu.org/bibledit/merging.html:
'Each change must be approved of manually. A window becomes visible that
allows to approve of change. If a button has a "+", then it means there is an
addition to the master project. And if it has a "-", then that means that
something was deleted from the master project. Approval of a change is made by
just clicking the button.'

Created 2 projects X1, X2, imported same book (JUD) in both and made changes
in both projects, some on the same word.
Choosing X1 and X2 as Master and Edited, the differences show up nicely in
bold and crossed out.
Now: Merge/Merge JUD of X2 and X1, and approve of each change as compared to
project X1/OK:
merging is done and message: The chapters were successfully merged. OK.

Then the text of X1 shows up with the option Save at the bottom - but no +/-
buttons.
Choosing save shows again the marked differences between X1/X2 with the
options Previous/Merge/Next,
and the two projects X1 and X2 did not change.
