Follow-up Comment #1, task #8447 (project bibledit):
If I understand this task correctly, then there is already such a too. It is
here:
When creating a new Resource, the first thing is asks for is the type of the
Resource. If a type is chosen that starts with "Based upon ...", then that
means that the existing resource is taken to start off with. All the settings
of the resource will be filled in already.
