This is not a bino bug: OpenGL quad-buffered stereo used to be supported on my 2010 MBP (GeForce 330M), but support was removed from the latest version of the OS. I double-checked with "OpenGL Extensions Viewer" (free app from the app store): in Buffer modes/Pixel Formats, Stereoscopic is disabled.
