I'd like to get this ball rolling again, but I haven't been following this discussion. To save me some time, can you summarize previous objections to your patch?
The main objection was that other people might then think about language-dependent parsing of the Bison skeleton (for example, as in Perl, because of clashes between the "$N"/"@N" variables, and the internal syntax of the language).
This is obviously not the case of Java. Paolo
