sheets.map problem

hi there,

after having used a2ps for some time without any problems, it started to
complain about the sheets map all of a sudden. i have not changed any config
files, have not recompiled the system or any apps ... i don't have a clue what
might have caused this bevaviour.

the line it gives me upon any request:
a2ps:/usr/local/share/a2ps/sheets/sheets.map:50: unexpected character `*'

it complains about any single asterix in this sheet file.

running a2ps 4.13 on a freebsd 4.1 release machine.
