Page size incorrect

I am working on a Solaris 7 box and have built a2ps version 4.10.4 without
error.

My steps were:

1)Download tar file from website

2)Extract all the files

3)Ran configure as follows =>   configure --prefix=/opt/a2ps
--exec-prefix=/opt/a2ps

4) Then did a make which was successful

5) Did a make install which correctly placed everything in the directory
/opt/a2ps.

The problem however is that when the application is run as part of a program
that first converts an ascii file to postscript using a2ps and then runs it
through ghostscript to convert that output to PDF, the output from a2ps is
not in A4 format but in a format which is the same length as A4 but only
half the width. The value assigned to medium in a2ps_cfg at the start was
definitely A4. So the report is displayed nromally up to the center of the
page and then wraps round to the next line. So far I have found no reason
for this.
I have attached the a2ps.cfg file created by the build and the output from
my program - both the a2ps output and the final PDF output so you can see
what it looks like using Adobe or whatever PDF reader.

Filenames: text.fil = the original text file
                pscript.fil = postscript output from a2ps
                PDF.pdf = final PDF output from running a2ps output through
ghostscript.
                a2ps.cfg = current configuration file

If this problem has been encountered before please let me know as it's
important that I can resolve it.

Many thanks
Sam Laming
