Let's wait for Ralf to corroborate, but I guess that this already says
all: the font locking capabilities of XEmacs remain inferior to Emacs.
It is not likely that XEmacs will synch the respective code bases
before Emacs 22 is released, in order to avoid duplicate work. So
don't expect this to work for at least a year or so.
If this is of critical importance to you, switch to a developer
version of Emacs. The respective links can be found in the
installation guides in the AUCTeX manual.
Ralf, any news with regard to a precompiled CVS Emacs including
AUCTeX?
