[Bug-AUCTeX] 11.81; Problems with lastpage.sty

Hello,

preview-latex fails to produce previews, if the package 
lastpage.sty has been loaded. There is just that famous message 
in the mini-buffer "error in process sentinel: LaTeX found no 
preview images". When commenting lastpage it out, it works 
without problems. I have attached the output of the preview log 
buffer and the generated bug report below. The preview logs of 
the working example do no differ significantly from the 
non-working, only the messages due to lastpage, and the dvips 
call in the end make the differences.

Minimal example:

I have tried with a TeXlive-beta from 2005/10/04 and with the 
native TeX-system of SuSE-9.3, both the same symptoms. I have no 
other TeX to try with, which fulfills the requirements.

I have installed AUCTeX in a non-standard way, but if there was a 
problem, it would not work most of the time, I guess. The 
preview-TeX-packages in that TeXlive beta are the same as those 
from 11.81, so this should not matter.
