[Bug-AUCTeX] delete-trailing-whitespace delete non-whitespace characters!! |

Hi there,
In my latex file in auctex mode I have tilde (~) characters at the end of
lines. M-x delete-trailing-whitespace removes these along with the
whitespace.
Simple example tex file follows:
----- simple.tex (before delete-trailing-whitespace) -----
bla ~ bla
bla bla ~
bla ~ bla ~ ~
bla bla
----------------------------------------------------------
----- simple.tex (after delete-trailing-whitespace) -----
bla ~ bla
bla bla
bla ~ bla
bla bla
----------------------------------------------------------
Cheers,
Thomas
ps. I reported this first as an emacs bug, but RMS asked me to report it
as an auctex bug instead.
pps. Choosing "Report AUCTeX Bug" from the menu autostarts a mail to
address@hidden instead of address@hidden I guess this is not
intentional?
ppps. System info follows:
Bug present in all configurations below:
Mandriva 2006, auctex 11.51
RHEL3, auctex 11.53
RHEL4, auctex 11.14
No, I dont know why the RHEL4 version installed here is older than the
RHEL3 one :-)
