[Bug-AUCTeX] 11.85; problems when installing

Hello!

During 'make install' I can see:

Obviously this installation has failed, since ``auctex-11.85´´ has  
been created in the directory where make was invoked. So the target  
installation directory is a bit empty. The documentation (INSTALL)  
and configure should be improved to disable such misunderstanding.


The file  /usr/local/gwTeX/texmf.pkgs/tex/latex/preview indeed exists:

It starts with

so it seems that nothing has been installed in the TeX tree.
