Thank you for taking the time to report this bug.  The obvious
solution would be to replace `TeX-in-commented-line' with
`TeX-in-comment', but that would sensibly degrade performance of
`LaTeX-current-environment', since `TeX-in-comment' is much slower
than `TeX-in-commented-line'.  I'm thinking about a couple of ways to
improve `TeX-in-comment' execution time.
