Akim,
I have been verbally cleared to turn over my existing contributions, and
that same attorney says it's no big deal to be a continuing contributor.
What I never received from the FSF via snail-mail was the written release
forms ... I should have received them at least a month ago. I suppose I
need to have the FSF resend them to me. I will do so as soon as I get
settled ... I just stepped off of a plane from France a couple of hours
ago.
I am actually impressed that IBM *does* understand the issues in play here.
I will download 2.54 tomorrow and begin the adaptation to OS/390 & z/OS.
The platform I now have available to me is z/OS 1.2, and I'm reasonably
certain I can emulate earlier OS/390 releases, as well.
Yours,

So, what is the current status? Actually, what would be really
precious is that you work on 2.54, which was just released:
ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/autoconf/autoconf-2.54.tar.gz (1020 KB)
ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/autoconf/autoconf-2.54.tar.bz2 (769 KB)
ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/autoconf/autoconf-2.53c-2.54.xdelta (32 KB)
ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/autoconf/autoconf-2.53-2.54.xdelta (94 KB)
If you could sign the FSF's disclaimers, the process would be
considerably faster. IBM ought to understand that without this, many
Free Projects will not run on your arch...
