Subject: Autoconf 2.55 bug report

While testing my package on FreeBSD 3.1-STABLE, my "./configure" told me:

checking net/if.h usability... no
checking net/if.h presence... yes
configure: WARNING: net/if.h: present but cannot be compiled
configure: WARNING: net/if.h: check for missing prerequisite headers?
configure: WARNING: net/if.h: proceeding with the preprocessor's result
configure: WARNING: ## ------------------------------------ ##
configure: WARNING: ## Report this to address@hidden ##
configure: WARNING: ## ------------------------------------ ##
checking for net/if.h... yes

I am just following instructions ("Report this to address@hidden").

The "config.log" is attached.

"I never knew words could be so confusing," Milo said to Tock
as he bent down to scratch the dog's ear.
"Only when you use a lot to say a little," answered Tock.
