compilation warning on ax AIX

Hello,
I was building the proftpd ftp server on an AIX 4.3.3 machine and I got
this warning while configure was in progress:

The configure script says:

m4 is taken from AIX tools (/usr/ccs/bin), while the compiler would be gcc,
installed through AIX toolbox for Linux applications (which is a collection
of packages for the AIX platform shipped by IBM an containing the Redhat
Package Manager and many rpm packages).
I don't have much knowledge of the autoconf tool, so I don't know what else
could be useful to you. Feel free to ask me if something is missing.
