Hello,
The ./configure script told me to report this to you. It said:
--------
configure: WARNING: libmpeg3.h: accepted by the compiler, rejected by the
preprocessor!
configure: WARNING: libmpeg3.h: proceeding with the preprocessor's result
--------
libmpeg3.h is the version installed with SUSE 9.0 x86_64 on this
dual-Opteron box; it lives in /usr/include/libmpeg3.
If I pass 'CFLAGS="-I/usr/include/libmpeg3 -L/usr/lib64 -L/usr/X11/lib64"'
to ./configure I get the error above; if I omit the -I flag, libmpeg3.h is
not found at all. The full path to libmpeg3.h is /usr/include/libmpeg3/
libmpeg3.h
I'm installing DirectFB as a step towards installing an uncrippled version
of xine to play DVDs. SUSE's version is severely crippled "for legal
reasons". At my intermediate level of system config skills, it's hard to
tell which complaints by the configure script of xine-lib are important to
my system and which I can ignore: perhaps I don't need DirectFB at all? I
need the -L flags for xine-ui, so I'm applying them to all the packages I'm
building.
